Two arrests after pedestrian dies in crash

Two arrests have been made after a pedestrian in their 80s died after being hit by a car in Kent.
Emergency services were called to the scene of a crash involving a grey Mercedes Estate and a pedestrian on the A290 Gads Hill, in Gillingham, at about 12:10 GMT on Monday.
It was reported that the vehicle continued and was found in Eastcourt Lane, where the two occupants had left on foot. The pedestrian had been carried by the car and was found on the ground in Grange Road, the force added.

Later the same day, a 29-year-old from Chatham and a 28-year-old of no fixed address were arrested in connection with the incident. They remain in custody.
Police have released a CCTV image of another man they wish to speak to about the incident.
