Two yellow weather warnings for ice and snow have been issued for parts of Wales on Friday.

The first warning is in place from 18:00 GMT on Friday until 12:00 on Saturday, while the second is in place from 15:00 on Sunday until 12:00 on Monday.

They come after the Met Office issued an earlier warning, which was in place from 00:00 until 12:00 on 2 January.

Forecasters have cautioned that buses and trains may be delayed due to the weather and advised people to plan ahead for car journeys and allow more time.

The Met Office said 1-3cm (0.4-12in) of snow was likely for some, with the potential for 5-8cm (2.0-3.1in) on higher parts of the country, and increasingly wintry showers overnight.

Untreated pavements or cycle paths may become treacherous or impassable for those travelling on foot, it warned.
