Pueblo police investigate fatal crash

Pueblo police are investigating after one person was killed in a crash at the intersection of Joplin Avenue and Portland Avenue the afternoon of Jan. 13.
The single vehicle crash, which was reported at 3:12 p.m. Jan 13, also injured another person, according to Sgt. Antoinette Ramos, a spokesperson for Pueblo police. Ramos said that the injured party, a passenger in the vehicle, was in stable condition, although she could not comment further on the extent of their injuries.
Pueblo police remain on scene, and the intersection remains closed at this time as detectives investigate. Ramos was unable to comment on the cause of the crash the afternoon of Jan. 13.

The identity of the victim, along with the cause and manner of death, will be released by the Pueblo County Coroner's Office when next of kin has been notified.
