Heavy police presence at Abercorn Street Target; District 6 Alderman confirms shooting

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — There is a heavy police presence near the Target at Abercorn Street.
WSAV has a crew on the scene who reported seeing crime scene tape at the Target parking lot and vehicles from the Savannah Police Department.
District 6 Alderman Kurtis Purtee said on a social media post that an adult man has suffered a gunshot wound and has been transported to the hospital. According to Purtee, the shooting took place after an argument over a parking spot, and one suspect has been taken into custody.
News 3 reached out to the Savannah Police for information on this incident, but has not received any details back.
