Gunman turns himself in after next-door neighbor killed by bullet through wall in Connecticut

A gunman wanted for allegedly opening fire and killing a next-door neighbor in Danbury, Connecticut has turned himself in to police.

Danbury Police said David Grullon Jr. voluntarily turned himself in around 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.

He's been charged with several offenses, including second-degree manslaughter, criminal possession of a pistol/revolver, two counts of risk of injury to a minor, and illegal discharge of a firearm.

Police say Grullon Jr., who lives at 43 Lake Ave., opened fire and killed a next-door neighbor around 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday at a townhome on Lake Avenue.

The bullet went through the wall and struck the victim, who has been identified as 37-year-old Victor Quispe.

"He's a good guy, a good friend, excellent barber, but more of a good friend, good person," said Randy Hamilton.

He was rushed to the hospital but did not survive.

Quispe is being remembered as a master a barber whose wife is expecting a child. he was also an active member of his homeowner's association.

Investigators are still working to determine whether the shooting was intentional or an accident.

Grullon Jr. is currently being held on $1 million bond, $300,000 cash, which includes a gun-related bond enhancement.
