Emergency services have been carrying out searches on a canal amid reports that people may have been in danger there.

Police, fire and ambulance crews were called to Bentley Bridge in Wolverhampton at about 20:10 GMT on Sunday.

No-one was located despite extensive searches, said West Midlands Police.

Crews were returning to the area on Monday morning to continue checks to ensure there was no-one unaccounted for, stated the force.
